As you are aware, earlier this year I placed everything in relation to Community Kindness – Thanet on hold after I was found to have a massive tumour. My surgery to remove this went well and histology results did then confirm that the tumour was cancer. Since then, I’ve had a further procedure to rule out the possibility that I also had bowel cancer which was thankfully negative. In relation to the ovarian cancer, we believe everything is currently looking positive and the cancer has been fully removed. Hi, I’m Sonia – founder of Community Kindness – Thanet. Having worked with vulnerable children and adults for many years, I have always known that I wanted to do more to offer support to those in our local community who are affected the most. I’ve seen first-hand how different circumstances can impact family life and I’m a firm believer that we have the opportunity to reattempt everything in life with the exception of childhood.
